Company Management
The company is managed by its two founders, Jorge Carmona, who serves as
President and CEO, and Reto Bühlmann, who serves as Vice-President R&D, both
with degrees in Computer Science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
Prior to founding Odysis in 1997, Mr. Carmona and Mr. Bühlmann co-created in 1989 the Scitec
Software Division in Lausanne, Switzerland. They participated from 1989 to 1991
in the development of several software projects for a variety of industries
including the distribution/logistics, telecommunications, finance and energy
industries.
In 1994 they were two founders of Scitec Laboratory Automation SA in
Lausanne, Switzerland. Mr. Carmona was General Manager of the Scitec Software
Division, a Director of Scitec Laboratory Automation SA, and co-Managing
Director of Scitec Nordic BV in Nieuwegein, The Netherlands. Mr. Bühlmann was
Director R&D of the Scitec Software Division and was the architect and
principal developer of Scitec's software product CLARA, a state-of-the-art
software environment for the design, scheduling, simulation and management of
scientific robotic applications. They both participated in the development and
implementation of large automation projects for laboratories in a variety of
industries, including the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, metallurgy
and cosmetics industries.
